The project leaders from both Taiwan and the Philippines shall follow the respective regulations of the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) and the Philippine Department of Science and Technology (DOST). For Taiwan's side, the project leader must currently serve as the principal investigator of an NSTC-funded research project and expand or enhance the project into an international collaboration under the same research program. For details on funding categories and regulations, please refer to the application guidelines (see attachment).

The project implementation period is from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2028, with a duration of 1 to 3 years. The implementation period for the joint research project must be identical for both parties.
